Snowcapped alpine sleepy giants distant seen

Glisten with fading sun

Silently

Skyline that would God/ Goddess impress,

Below palace parapet

In awesome Dachau one October

Setting scene for old and well loved song

‘Neath splendid ceiling in palace hall

By Juno, Pluto, Pan and Jupiter

Himself adorned

In glorious Dachau one October

Sung with mirth

Encouraged to dizzy heights

By loving patient masterful hands

Slew Margy’s peak skilfully scaled,

Crested and spectacularly crescendoed

In harmonious Dachau one October

Lavish and abundant hospitality akin

To Cruachan’s own land

By a kind and noble people

Unfairly stained by long past

Sin amore

Raise heart and beat with humility and pride anew

In sad Dachau one October

Colour crisp cool air

Friendships forever forged

A link to last a lifetime

In lovely Dachau one golden October

Brew of hops and barley

Wine and endless song

Mirth, Mirth and pleasure

Priceless, nay, golden days

With deepest gratitude

We reluctant take our leave

Return now to the Beautiful City

Hearts will ache

For sweet Dachau that glorious October
